We live in a world of fantasy … … … sports!
The end of August is traditionally considered to be fantasy football draft time around the country. It seems as though the concept of fantasy football has taken 
the sports world by storm. Sitting in my office on a Monday I hear people talking about their fantasy team as much, if not more so, than how their favorite team did the day before.
Other sports have taken the hint and sports sites like ESPN and Yahoo Sports have created fantasy games for other sports like basketball, baseball, hockey, NASCAR, golf and, well, really any sport you could think of.
So…why not fantasy wrestling? More specifically for this time of year, why not fantasy WrestleMania?
I put together a simple scoring system – points for participating in/winning matches on the event with a smaller point scale for matches on the pre-show. Bonus points are awarded for being in the main event (the last match of the evening), title wins and title defenses with more points awarded for more significant titles.

A few notes that I want to point out from the list –
If you couldn’t have guessed who turned out #1 on the list, well then you need to read a WWE book or two…probably more. Yes The
Deadman comes in with the highest fantasy score in WrestleMania history with a wide margin between him and #2 on the list, John Cena. 22 wins and a few championship wins is a pretty easy way to find your way to the top of the list.
After The Deadman and Cena, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Kane, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Randy Savage, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edge round out the top 10 of our list. The next four on the list – Big Show, The Rock, Chris Jericho and Randy Orton all have a strong chance of hitting the top 10 within the next few years.
Taking a look at the other end of the spectrum – the following is a list of notable names that have as many or less WrestleMania fantasy points than Lawrence Taylor – Bam Bam Bigelow, The Dudley Boyz, Harley Race, The Godfather and all of his other characters, Sid, Vader, X-Pac, Arn Anderson, Dusty Rhodes, Goldberg, Jimmy Snuka, Kerry Von Erich, Paul Orndorff, The Steiner Brothers, Tully Blanchard, Barry Whindam, Big Jon Studd, Jerry Lawler, Kamala, Michael Hayes, and Sting
Take that list and add the likes of Kevin Nash, Junkyard Dog, Sgt Slaughter, Jeff Hardy, and Jeff Jarrett and you have the full list of people with less than or equal points as Virgil. Yes…Virgil!
So that leaves us to think of what this list could look like down the road. Seth 
Rollins is already at #30 after owning the show last year. H should be able to crack the top 10 as long as he stays healthy (knock on wood!). The other members of The Shield, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, also seem primed to climb the rankings as well. Only time will tell!
