WrestleMania 32 Predictions

It’s been over a year since WWE made the announcement that WrestleMania 32 would be held at AT&T Stadium. The WWE Universe instantly started creating the dream card that WWE would obviously be putting together in an effort to reach a six-figure attendance number for the first time in the history of the illustrious event.

Then people started to not have multiple working legs…and it just wouldn’t stop!

The injury bug has hit WWE worse than it ever has, and at the most inopportune time. This year’s WrestleMania has been clouded by the fact that many top stars are not able to step through the ropes.

Even with that though, WrestleMania is still WrestleMania! The allure will always be there – whether the actual show meets that allure is another question. WrestleMania 27 in 2011 had the allure, and we were left with The Miz still holding the WWE Championship.

Looking at the card those, we have several questions waiting to be answered and plenty of rumors going around. What will The Wyatt Family be doing? Is John Cena cleared? Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are in Dallas – will we see them Sunday or Monday along with the rest of the Balor/Bullet/whatever the hell they want to be called Club?

Let’s take a look at some possibilities and predictions for this year’s rendition of The Showcase of the Immortals!

Pre-Show

Team Total Divas vs B.A.D. & Blonde

It’s good to see Emma back on the main roster now. She can be a great heel Diva for the Divas Revolution. She has what it takes to … steal … the show (see what I did there?)

The original plan was for Nikki Bella to make her return as the surprise member of the Total Divas team. Once word came around that Nikki’s injury was more serious that originally thought, the quick response was to throw Eva Marie in the mix.

Here’s how I hope the match begins – Paige grabs the mic and tells Eva Marie that she is not the new member of their team. That’s when the music hits, the wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube men rise up and Bayley comes down to make her main roster debut.

If that doesn’t happen, then, well I don’t know, give the win to Total Divas.

The Usos vs The Dudley Boyz

This should be a solid tag match. With The New Day in a 4 on 3 handicap match with The League of Nations, I don’t know how WWE didn’t have then drop the tag belts to one of these teams to make this a title match. Missed opportunity!

When Bubba Ray and D-Von came back last summer, no one would think that they would be put on the pre-show. Though with the way they have been booked they should probably be lucky they are even in Dallas!

I don’t see that trend stopping –The Usos will come out on top.

US Championship

Kalisto (c) vs Ryback

Interesting matchup to say the least. Here is where the most confusion comes for me though – Ryback is rumored to be getting a major push and go for the title after WrestleMania. That means one of two things…

1 – Ryback wins the US title and there ends upryback being a title for title match to end the US Title?

2 – Ryback loses to Kalisto and goes into his WWE Championship program having lost at WrestleMania…the exact scenario that happened in 2013 after losing to Mark Henry at WrestleMania 29. How’d that end up for Ryback in the long run?

Hopefully with the rumored influx of new talent on the main roster plans will change. For Sunday, Kalisto continues his rise.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The first two years of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal gave us the break for two future stars – Cesaro and Damian Sandow… … … or so it should have been.

There haven’t been a lot of individual mentions for this year’s battle royal other than the Social Outcasts. I just can’t see any of them winning. They’ll be entertaining and do something memorable, but won’t win.

It’s been advertised that there are a few open spots in the battle royal, and the match has been moved from the pre-show to the main show. That tells me that something exciting could happen here. That’s why I’ll say that a returning Cesaro will be the first two-time winner of the match.

Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship

Kevin Owens (c) vs Sami Zayn vs Dolph Ziggler vs Zack Ryder

vs Sin Cara vs The Miz vs Stardust

Once word of Sami Zayn’s main roster call-up started making the rounds, it seemed obvious that we would get Zayn against Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Title on the Showcase of the Immortals.

Welp, we didn’t get that (though I’m thinking the Chicago crowd, which will include me, will get that one-on-one match at Payback next month) but we do get a multi-man ladder match for the title for the second year in a row. Last year gave us some big spots, and I expect the same with this group of guys. In the end, Kevin Owens finds a way to keep his title.

AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho

This is funny – I’m writing this in the same section that I wrote my preview for Rusev vs John Cena last year. The premise of that one, could be a great match, just wish it didn’t happen at Fastlane as well.

Chris-Jericho-AJ-Styles-1Sound familiar?

True we’ve had the Jericho heel turn since then which adds a bit of intrigue, but it’s still a match we saw last month.

Don’t get me wrong though, I still think this will be an amazing match. I have Chris Jericho coming out on top in hopes that this is that start of an AJ Styles heel turn when he rejoins a certain…club…he used to be with?

The New Day vs The League of Nations

While the League of Nations has finally seemed to gel and look like a faction rather than a few guys doing similar things together, I’m still confused on this one. With all of the injury issues over the last six months, grouping talents like Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Rusev and Bad New Barrett seems like a bit of a waste.

The New Day, on the other hand, have done an amazing job as the current Freebird type team. The tag champs have done such an amazing job getting over with the crowd that they have grown men wearing lit up unicorn horns in the crowd. That really sums it up right there!

From the rumors I’ve been hearing, I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with for their entrance. Everybody clap along with me … New…Day wins! New…Day wins!

Divas Championship

Charlotte (c) vs Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch

Granted there hasn’t been that much of a sample size at this point, but this has the potential to be the greatest woman’s match in WrestleMania history!

Though I would like to see her separate herself from her dad a bit, Charlotte has done an amazing job as a heel champion. Along with Banks, Lynch and current NXT champ Bayley, The Fourhorsewomen have indeed revolutionized the Divas division since the summer.

So much so that the word going around is that the Diva’s Championship will be gone on Monday and the Woman’s Championship will make its long awaited return. A change in title calls for a change in champion. The obvious pick would be for Sasha to win…which is exactly why I think Becky Lynch sneaks in and wins the title.

Hell in a Cell

Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker

Yes, we all know that this is an odd matchup.

Yes, we all know that the buildup has been confusing at best (at least until Shane flew off the corner last Monday).

Yes, even with the injuries, you could probably come up wwewith other options for Taker at WrestleMania.

But if ever there has been a match where the predictions are at an even 50/50 split, THIS is it!

The prodigal son Shane McMahon has returned home to WWE! Shane is always good for a crazy bump or two. And The Undertaker is The Undertaker!

Obviously this will not be a clean one-on-one match. But who interferes? John Cena? Sting? Wyatts? This match has given us so many questions that can be answered in the cell! I see Shane McMahon pulling this one out and fixing Raw.

Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar

This will be a brawl! Dean Ambrose coming down to the ring and picking up weapons without saying a word was a perfect way to end the buildup and get to the match. No more talking – time to fight!

In a way to fix the fact that Bray Wyatt isn’t on the card, The Wyatts come down to take out Brock and give Dean Ambrose the win.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Triple H (c) vs Roman Reigns

Like it or not, this could be a great match!

I really think that Reign’s still gets the amount of boo’s he does just for the sake of booing. I agree that he’s not at a “face of the company” level just yet, no matter rsz_20151109_raw_triplehroman_2how much WWE wants us to think that, but he’s not bad.

I’ve been going back and forth on this one. WWE has two guys that are/they want to be THE guy, John Cena and Reigns. Between this match and the Hell in a Cell match, by the end of the night one if not both of these guys will turn heel. How it happens for Reigns, Triple H retains the title with The Rock involved somehow – not to help The Game, but just being around. Not happy with losing the match, Reigns spears Rock and we have a match for Samoan supremacy down the road.
