Reset Button Hit At The Perfect Time

Remember back in the days when you would be playing Nintendo and right before you were about to die after hours of working towards the final level. Instead of watching your character meet his demise and have to start all over from the beginning you jumped to the console and hit the reset button just in the nick of time to save things.

This is exactly what WWE has done recently…and just before your team lost in the Super Bowl in Tecmo Super Bowl.

To say that WWE has seen an improvement over the last month is a gross understatement. The last month on Raw has been more entertaining than the last six months combined.

It really seems like this year’s WrestleMania was used as a bit of a reset button. Officials had seen the drop in numbers in so many aspects but were already deep into WrestleMania stories. With the injury bug being what it has been recently, WrestleMania was unfortunately doomed from the start.

The show was losing its fans slowly but surly. If something drastic wasn’t done in a timely fashion, who knows what would have happened.

Hate to say it, but WrestleMania may have been sacrificed this year for what was on the horizon.

…and, as odd as it is to say, that’s ok!

If you are reading this, that probably means that you fall under one of two categories. One – you are a die-hard fan and still appreciate the professional wrestling aspect of sports entertainment – which is what we are getting now! Second – your are a family member who is reading because you’re good people and support me. If that’s the case, just take my word for it … and thank you 🙂

The change came right away. The night following WrestleMania, Raw gave us the debut of Enzo and Big Cass who have been getting huge responses every week, the return of Cesaro who the WWE Universe is just clamoring to see holding the brass ring, and AJ Styles vaulted into the #1 contender spot! We have wanted to see change for a long time now – and it’s finally here!

Fresh off one of the worst WrestleMania’s in recent memory, we have a Pay-Per-View that has the potential to be the best non major-4 Pay-Per-View shows in a long time! Most of the stars headlining the show weren’t even on the main roster this time last year!

The on-camera head of this change is Shane McMahon – the perfect choice! The vocal majority of the WWE Universe are those that grew up watching Shane-O-Mac giving his all for the show time and time again! He arrived, promised change, and delivered.

With the young stars on the roster now and the established veterans that are on the verge of returning, 2016 has the potential to be the best in years.

We are in a new era folks! Enjoy it, we’ve been waiting for it for a long time…it should be worth the wait!
