5- TJ Yates, Texans (last week: NR)
Yates filled in for an injured Brian Hoyer and tossed the game winning touchdown pass in the 4th quarter as Houston upset the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals on the road.
4- Jay Cutler, Bears (last week: NR)
St. Louis was 3-1 at home prior to their matchup against Chicago, allowing 55 total points in four games. No visting QB had had much success, until Jay Cutler showed up and tore apart the Rams. Cutler fired for three scores, including an 87 and 83 yard touchdowns as the Bears beat up the Rams 37-13.
3- Kirk Cousin, Redskins (last week: NR)
Cousins threw a career high 4-touchdown passes as the Redskins rolled all over the Saints 47-14.
2- Tom Brady, Patriots (last week: NR)
Tom Brady’s revenge tour 2015 continued as the Patriots beat the NY Giants 27-26. Brady, who played a good chunk of the game without Julian Edelman (foot injury), rallied the Pats from 10 down in the 3rd quarter, and then added a little Brady magic late in the 4th, leading New England down the field with under two minutes to play for the game winning field goal. Along the way, the Patriots converted a 4th and 10.
1- Carson Palmer, Cardinals (last week: NR)
Arizona jumped out to a 19-0 lead over Seattle on the road, thanks in part to two TD strikes from Palmer to Michael Floyd. Seattle rallied in the 4th after a pair of Palmer fumbles, to take a 29-25 lead. With the crowd in a frenzy, resembling the 49ers late drive in the NFC Championship game a couple of years ago, Palmer drove Arizona downfield, hitting tight end Jermaine Gresham for the go-ahead touchdown. Arizona added another late score on the ground, putting away Seattle 39-32.
Palmer finished 29 of 48 for 363 yards and three touchdowns in a monster inter-divisional win for the Cards, and with that, he take the top spot in the Otto’s.
