Cam Newton wins 2015 Automatic Otto Award

Cam Newton was the best quarterback in 2015, and the NFL rewarded his play by naming him the league’s Most Valuable Player.

With 34 total points, Cam Newton was also the winner of the inaugural Automatic Otto Award for Best QB during the 2015 season.

Automatic Otto Awards final rankings:

1- Cam Newton, 34

2- Tom Brady, 22

3- Aaron Rodgers, 17

3- Kirk Cousins, 17

5- Carson Palmer, 16

Newton accounted for 45 total touchdowns (35 passing and 10 rushing), and 3,837 yards passing, all this despite not having his No. 1 wide receiver- Kelvin Benjamin for the entire season.

Carolina finished with the best record in the NFL at 15-1, and then knocked off the back-to-back defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks, and the No. 2 seeded Arizona Cardinals, in route to their second ever Super Bowl appearance.

Six times this season, Cam finished with the top spot in the weekly rankings for the Otto’s.
