Colin Kaepernick: The ball is in his court

The 49ers and Broncos have a trade agreed upon regarding Colin Kaepernick, however the one issue stopping this deal from becoming official, is of course, money.

And it’s all on Kaepernick here.

As of April 1, he officially was guaranteed a base salary of $11.9 million, which Denver cannot/doesn’t want to pay in full. They have however, agreed to a salary of $7M, asking the 49ers to pay the remainder ($4.9M), which they have refused, or for Kaepernick to just take the pay cut, which he in turn, has refused to do…so far.

Bottom line right now, the ball is in Colin’s court.

If he takes the pay cut, he’s the new starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, because the 49ers aren’t going to aide in his departure.
