Titans building up offense around Marcus Mariota

The Tennessee Titans are on the way up, and after acquiring running back DeMarco Murray from the Eagles, good things are on the horizon.

The Titans have built up an offense around the face of their franchise, QB Marcus Mariota.

It starts with the offensive line, which Tennessee has used two first round picks on since 2013 (Chance Warmack and Taylor Lewman), and could be in line to use their first round pick again on the o-line, this time with the No. 1 pick in Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil in April.

Adding wide receiver Dorial Green Beckham in the second round of the 2015 draft to pair opposite of Kendall Wright, Justin Hunter, and Harry Douglas and you’ve got a formidable wide receiving core.

Delaine Walker is one of the better tight ends in football, and last season set career highs in catches (94), yards (1,088), and tied a career best with six touchdown receptions.

DeMarco Murray gives Tennessee a legit No. 1 back who just two seasons ago, led the league in rushing, but was nearly invisible in Philadelphia last season. Murray running behind an offensive line loaded with first round draft picks could equal another 1,000 yard season, and more importantly, take a lot of pressure off of Marcus Mariota. Last season the Titans ranked 25th in rushing, but that’s sure to improve with the current offseason.

Tennessee’s stock is on the rise, and the Titans are currently making all the right moves.
