It hasn’t been a great week for the Curry family.
Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors released what is perhaps one of the most infamous shoes of all time before going on to help his team blow a 3-1 lead in the 2016 NBA Finals, allowing LeBron James to get the Cleveland Cavaliers a title.
His wife, Ayesha caused a storm on social media during the epic collapse, which ESPN’s Rachel Nichols captured:
Here’s what Ayesha Curry posted at the end of the game…then deleted, but only after tens of thousands of retweets: pic.twitter.com/dO83u456iX

Yikes.
One innovative mind decided to make a smooth reference while dousing a shirt in Cleveland colors to help celebrate the win:
Petty? Probably. But it’s a funny nod and yet another addition to what is one of the most interesting rivalries in sports.
The Curry family won’t have a hard time bouncing back from all of this, of course. But right now, it’s all about James and the Cavaliers and the mistakes that defined the woeful end to Golden State’s historic year.
