It just keeps getting worse for Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love.
The Cavaliers are still alive in the 2016 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors and hoping to force a Game 7 by winning Thursday night.
Home game or not, though, some Cavaliers fans don’t want Love on the floor.
Giles Debenham started a GoFundMe page asking the Cavaliers to sit Love and wrote the following:
Kevin Love is playing like a bum and just taking up room on the court. Pay this man to take a seat and let the Cavs win these finals!!
This is obviously a joke—and a funny one. But it does speak to the frustrating play by Love so far. Whether he’s dealing with injuries or not, Love was a no show in his team’s Game 5 victory, scoring just two points over 33 minutes of play while LeBron James and Kyrie Irving scored 41 apiece.
The Cavaliers aren’t a better team with Love on the bench, but the Game 5 performance was a sluggish one at best in what was Love’s first full game action since the first game of the series because he left the second with an injury and went on to miss the third.
Cleveland needs Love to have a big game Thursday. Joke or not, it’s clear the pressure is on Love to produce because no matter what happens he’s going to be a target after the game.
