James Harden pens letter to Rockets fans after extension

Houston Rockets star James Harden still had two years remaining on his current deal, and even though the team’s 2015-16 season campaign was disappointing to say the least, management rushed to get him signed through 2020.

Harden signed a four-year, $118 million extension, and Rockets fans can expect to continue to see a lot of The Beard in the years to come. They’ve long been supportive of their star, and he thanked them for their support in a heartfelt letter on the Monday after signing his extension.

Harden said the team has one goal in mind: to win a championship. But let’s be honest, given how stacked the Western Conference is at the top — yeah, good luck with that.
