If the Golden State Warriors are going to win a game at Quicken Loans Arena, where the Cavs have been virtually unbeatable all season, they’ll need both of the Splash Bros. to be in peak form.
So far, the two haven’t been able to show up and dominate in the same game. The Warriors’ bench/Shaun Livingston got the job done in Game 1, and Draymond Green knocked down shots from all over the floor, while the Cavs couldn’t hit from anywhere, in Game 2.
But Cleveland’s shooting woes didn’t carry over into Game 3, as they shot 52.7 percent from the field, and LeBron James and Kyrie Irving combined for 62 points. Curry and Thompson, on the other hand, were once again held to subpar performances by their standards, combining for 29 points on a 10-of-26 shooting night.
Thompson showed his toughness, though, after receiving a shot to his thigh in the first quarter of the game trying to run through a screen from Timofey Mozgov. He hit the deck hard.

It was announced that Thompson suffered a thigh contusion, and he did return to the game. He ended up playing 30 minutes, as did Curry, but it didn’t seem to matter, as the Cavs cruised to a 120-90 victory in the must-win game.
