When the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night, LeBron James was seen looking rather grateful as he kissed the court and soaked it all in with tears streaming down his face.
But it didn’t take long for the real LBJ to come out on Instagram.
James took to IG to sound off on his haters on Monday afternoon, posting a photo of him wearing a hat that showed Kermit the frog sipping tea.
And in case you were unsure of what he meant by that photo, check out the caption that followed.
“They said u lost a step, wasn’t explosive as once was, the best days was in the real view, questioned your drive, your leadership, your commitment, you don’t have killer instinct, going back home is the worst mistake in your career, he got the coach fired, players traded, won’t work between him and Kyrie, Him and Kev won’t work, love your teammates to much, there’s no way he can deliver a championship in his hometown, etc etc etc…. But guess what THATS NONE OF MY BUSINESS #StriveForGreatness #ThisOneIsForTheLand #PutSomeRespeckOnMyName Hahahaha!!! Yes sir”
So in case you were unsure of all of the criticism James has received over the years, now you know. Superstar athletes understand that criticism comes with the title, but James had to make sure to stand out and remind everyone about it. You won’t see other NBA’ers doing the same.
James could’ve just enjoyed winning the title and celebrated with his teammates, but instead he chose to “shoutout the haters,” because that’s just who he is.
