LeBron James isn’t the most popular guy in the NBA right now.
The man who managed to make himself a villain thanks to The Decision and other escapades had a now-infamous scuffle with Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, which resulted in Green’s suspension for Game 5. The Warriors wound up losing Game 5, too, making the situation all the more strange.
For those wondering why the altercation went down, Marc Spears of The Undefeated has the topic covered:
According to sources, Green looked James dead in the face and called him a “b—-.”
One NBA player in earshot of the trash-talk told The Undefeated that James responded by saying that he was the father of three kids and a man.
Green responded back, according to the player, by saying: “You’re still a b—-.”
Good times. Before Game 5, Mychal Thompson went to town on James while talking with Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group. :
Mychal Thompson: “We all respect LeBron’s ability..but man sometimes he acts too entitled like he’s supposed to get everything he wants.”

Mychal Thompson: “LeBron (James) couldn’t have survived in the 80s with the physicality and the words guys said to each other back then.”

Shots fired.
Call it another layer to what is now one of the best rivalries in sports, with Game 6 getting ready to tip off Thursday in Cleveland. There, LeBron and the Cavaliers will look to force Game 7 and then steal the title.
