The New York Knicks’ coaching search recently added another name to be considered. ESPN’s Marc Stein reported Monday that the Knicks interviewed former Phoenix Suns coach Jeff Hornacek for their coaching vacancy, bringing the total of known candidates to four.
The Knicks, league sources say, have interviewed Jeff Hornacek for their coaching job along with Kurt Rambis, David Blatt and Frank Vogel.

Hornacek was fired by the Suns last February after two and a half seasons in the position.
According to Stein, Hornacek has “been in the mix for nearly every head coach job this offseason” and he’s “at the top of Golden State’s list in the Warriors’ search for a new lead assistant coach” after Luke Walton departs to become the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
Former Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel met with Knicks president Phil Jackson last week to discuss the job opening, and former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt emerged as a candidate last month. It remains to be seen if Jackson will hire someone from the outside, though, as many believe he intends to keep Kurt Rambis, who served as interim coach after Derek Fisher was fired in February.
