Charles Barkley doesn’t make a lot of friends.
The TNT analyst picked the Oklahoma City Thunder to beat the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals before the series.
A Golden State fan didn’t like that too much and challenged Barkley to throw hands at a hotel. USA Today‘s Sam Amick shared the details:
There was pressure building on Sunday night at a hotel bar not far from the Thunder’s home, where a wayward Warriors fan was so enraged that TNT analyst Charles Barkley picked the Thunder to win the series that he challenged him to an actual fight (security was called, and the man was removed).
NBA is serious business, folks.
Such an incident would have only ended in disaster for both parties, so it’s good security came to the rescue.
It looks like Barkley will have the last laugh, though, with the way the Thunder keep whipping the Warriors. Kudos to Barkley for yet another spot-on pick.
