Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller looks to be on track to be the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, and soon.
With the franchise tag deadline rapidly approaching, at 4 p.m. ET Friday, the Broncos and Miller have been working hard to get a deal done, and it looks like they will.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports that the two sides are close to a six-year, $114 million deal, which, coincidentally, is exactly what Ndamukong Suh received. But the guaranteed money, $70 million, is significantly larger than the nearly $60 million Suh got.

Miller recorded 11 sacks last season, but came up big when it mattered most. He sacked Tom Brady 2.5 times in the AFC Championship game, and got Cam Newton another 2.5 times, forcing fumbles on two of them.
He’s a great player that rises to the occasion, that you can build a defense around. That’s why he’s about to receive the big bucks in what will be the biggest payday of his career.
