Von Miller, Broncos agree to six-year deal

Von Miller tweeted that he will be a Bronco “FOR LIFE” after he and the team agreed to a six-year, $114.5 million contract Friday, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

Since the Broncos placed the franchise tag on the Super Bowl MVP, Miller and the Broncos had until 4 p.m. today to reach a long-term deal. Miller threatened not to play under the franchise tag. Now that won’t be a problem. The $70 million in guaranteed money he will receive is the most for any non-quarterback in the league.

Miller had 2.5 sacks and forced two fumbles in Super Bowl 50. The Broncos might not know who their quarterback will be, but they at least know that they’ll have their best defensive player as they try to defend their title.
