1) The Magic certainly took a step back in losing their fourth straight game in a loss to the Wizards. The defense continued to regress and the Magic are struggling to win without Glen Davis.

2) Hedo Turkoglu appears set to make his return after breaking his hand in the first game of the season, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports (h/t Evan Dunlap Orlando Pinstriped Post).

3) The Raptors are playing extremely confidently now. Toronto had a chance to fold late against New Orleans, but persevered and took care of the Hornets for an overtime victory. The Raptors appear to be right on schedule with preseason expectations.

4) Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel writes the Magic are winning themselves out of prime lottery position.

5) E'Twaun Moore left Friday's game in the first half with a sprained elbow. His status for upcoming games is unclear.

6) Kyle Lowry's stats put him in elite company, but the Raptors' big offseason acquisition is fighting injuries and coming off the bench and now has something to prove, Beckley Mason of TrueHoop writes.

7) Evan Dunlap of Orlando Pinstriped Post hands out some humorous holiday gifts for the Orlando Magic.
