1) Knicks coach Mike Woodson seems a bit incredulous that he still has to coach the Knicks on effort after having such high expectations entering the season and having to fight to get those back, Brian Lewis of the New York Post writes. The Knicks will start a lineup with Andrea Bargnani and Tyson Chandler in the frontcourt tonight. No matter the lineup, the Knicks are clearly lacking some fight, Mike Gavin of Long Island Newsday writes.

2) The biggest dilemma for the Magic in this game is how to handle Carmelo Anthony, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel writes. In eight consecutive games, Orlando has had no answer.

3) Marc Stein tells Jodie Valade of the Cleveland Plain Dealer that really only Victor Oladipo and Michael Carter-Williams have proven themselves to be capable starters as rookies out of this pitiful NBA Draft class.

4) Mike Woodson was upset with the Knicks' effort on the boards in a loss to the Grizzlies on Saturday, but he will still stick with the big lineup that did not help the problem tonight, Peter Botte of the New York Daily News writes.

5) The Magic are 28th in Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports' latest Power Rankings. And they apparently have little interest in trading Arron Afflalo right now.

6) Raymond Felton will play tonight as he continues to make his way back from a hamstring injury.

7) Jameer Nelson is fighting a cold, but should be good to go again tonight for the Magic.

8) Metta World Peace will undergo the blood-spinning therapy to help his ailing knees after the new year in New York, Marc Berman of the New York Post writes. He is, understandably, out tonight.
