Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was full of surprises on Monday night.
No one expected him to play a near-perfect game and complete 22 of 25 passes against the Saints, and toss as many touchdowns (3) as incompletions.
Stafford’s exceptional play helped lift the Lions to a 35-27 victory, so he was invited to talk with the Monday Night Football crew after the game.
He gave a solid interview and provided some perspective on the win, but also had one final surprise remaining for viewers. When Steve Levy informed Stafford that he was required to do the Ray Lewis dance, the Lions quarterback did not shy away from the tradition.
In fact, he nailed the dance perfectly.
Stafford’s swag just went up a few points after that dance.
