Ticket Prices Rise for The Lions in 2016

If NFL owners are wondering why more and more fans are sticking to sitting in front of their beautiful televisions screens on Sundays, it might be because ticket prices continue to climb every single year.

The case won’t be different at Ford Field in 2015.

For the third straight year, the Lions have raised season ticket prices, heading into the off-season.

According to the Detroit News, season ticket holders got the notice from new president Rod Wood, through an email.

In an email to season-ticket holders Tuesday, president Rod Wood said fans would see a “modest price increase” when they checked their invoice. Wood’s message also claimed the price of Lions season tickets is, on average, still in the bottom third of the NFL.

Season tickets now range in price from $399 in the Roar Zone to $2,238 for premium seats.

The organization has not announced an official percentage in which prices across the board will rise. They also have declined to provide the average cost of tickets for next season.

Despite the change, the Lions were in the bottom third of the league in 2015 average ticket price, according to statista.com.

The average ticket at Ford Field in 2015 cost fans $79.16.
