Free agency has reunited linebacker Danny Trevathan and Chicago Bears head coach John Fox.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Trevathan will sign with the Bears—delivering Fox one of his former players in Denver and giving Chicago’s defense a three-down stud at linebacker.

Trevathan, 25, picked Fox and the Bears over the Atlanta Falcons, who were also very interested in acquiring one of the market’s top available linebackers.
Numbers on the deal weren’t immediately known, although Trevathan was expecting to find a deal worth at least $7 million per season.
In Chicago, Trevathan will be plugged in on the inside of Vic Fangio’s 3-4 defense. He won’t be surrounded by the kind of talent he had in Denver, but the former sixth-round pick should immediately upgrade a Bears defense that finished last season ranked 20th in points allowed.
Over 15 regular season games in 2015, Trevathan tallied a team-high 110 total tackles and two interceptions. He recovered two fumbles in the postseason, with both coming during the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 win over the Carolina Panthers.
Fox, who was the head coach in Denver from 2011-14, helped bring Trevathan to the Broncos in 2012.
