Matt Cassel gifts Darrelle Revis laughable INT

It’s the holiday season, and as usual, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Matt Cassel was in a giving mood during Saturday night’s 19-16 loss to the New York Jets.

The problem, however, is that Cassel often hooks opposing defenders up, rather than his teammates, as he’s tossed seven interceptions and just five touchdowns this season.

But none of them were as atrocious as the one he threw to Darrelle Revis during the first quarter of Saturday’s game.

It happened when Cassel was about to throw a quick screen, but Buster Skrine was sitting on it so he elected to hold on to the football and try to look to the other side of the field instead. But he slipped, lost his balance and lobbed an off-balance pass which Revis easily picked off.

So, yeah. The takeaway here is that Revis is still really good, and Cassel is still really bad.
