49ers TE Garrett Celek gushes about Chip Kelly’s offense

Garrett Celek likes what he sees so far under the Chip Kelly regime in San Francisco.

Kelly is installing the same up-tempo offense he used in Philadelphia, one that uses hand signals instead of words so that the offense can run plays at a faster pace.

Celek, a tight end who caught 19 passes in 11 games last season, labeled it “kind of genius” according to the Sacramento Bee.

Celek is the younger brother of Eagles tight end Brent Celek, who knows all about Kelly’s offense. So the younger Celek brother might have had a head start learning the new system.

The entire team will have a chance to get up to speed next week when the 49ers hold organized team activities.

Who knows if the new offense will translate into more wins for the 49ers. But the team will probably be more fun to watch than it was in 2014 and 2015.
