New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones completed the special teams trifecta on one play by blocking a second-quarter field goal by the Minnesota Vikings, then scooping the football off the turf and returning it nearly 60 yards for a touchdown.
The Patriots were already dominating Minnesota before Jones’ big special teams play. The Vikings are without Adrian Peterson following his arrest for child abuse earlier this week. Jones, the third-year pass rusher from Syracuse, had three tackles and one sack through the first half.
