Virgin Group founder Richard Branson had never been to an NBA game until Wednesday night, when he attended the Hawks-Bulls game.
Branson is currently in the Chicago area to open a Virgin hotel, so he decided to watch the Eastern Conference matchup at the United Center. And he got the royal treatment, as Benny the Bull invited the billionaire to be his own personal human bowling ball just before the start of the fourth quarter.
Benny launched Branson—who was seated on a scooter—toward the bowling pins. Branson knocked roughly half of them over, but he wiped out in the process and hit the protective mat hard.
Branson appeared to be in a bit of discomfort after crashing into the pins, but Benny helped him up. And after a quick wave to the crowd to signal that he was okay, Branson and Benny walked off the court together.
