Breaking down which teams have been hit hardest by suspensions and injuries entering Week 1

A lot of what happens in the NFL each year boils down to luck of the draw. Luck can change between now and February, but in order to determine who has had the toughest and best luck with the first week of the regular season looming, TGS tallied the suspension and injury totals for each team, along with the total cap hit those suspended and injuries players are carrying for the time they're slated to miss.

* Hernandez was technically released and hasn't technically been suspended, but let's be real.

Note that the above table doesn't include players on injured reserve who aren't due guaranteed cash. We counted entire 2013 cap hits for all players on injured reserve, even those who will be eligible to return this season. That could change things a little with the hardest hit team because linebacker Jonathan Vilma, who has a $3.8 million cap hit, could be back as early as Week 9.
