Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw three interceptions and was sacked seven times in Monday night’s loss to the Saints. And unfortunately, it didn’t get any easier for him after the game.
Cutler showed up at his postgame press conference, ready to field questions from reporters. The only problem is that only a few media members showed up.
Odd: Cutler arrived for postgame newser before local reporters did. I asked 3 questions, no others were asked, that was it. Can’t fault Jay. — Mike Sando, ESPN.com (@SandoESPN) December 16, 2014

The press conference began with ESPN’s Mike Sando asking three questions. Cutler then looked confused, and was unsure of exactly what was going on. He turned to the team’s Media Relations Manager, Jim Christman, and asked for some clarification. Christman told him the local media was on their way.
Christman then asked the few media members in the room if they had any more questions for the Bears quarterback—and they didn’t—so that’s how the presser ended.
The Bears failed to consistently move the football on offense during the game, and their media relations team failed to alert reporters that Cutler’s press conference was starting. It wasn’t a banner evening.
What’s interesting is that Cutler elected to wear a Vanderbilt cap—rather than donning Bears apparel on his head—while at the podium.
