Prince Fielder had no problem doing squats with teammate Rougned Odor on his shoulders. But for some reason, he just could not catch a popup—which should have been a routine play for any first baseman—during Wednesday night’s game against the Athletics.
Fielder had time to get under the ball and make the play. But he misjudged where it figured to land, and this was the result.
There are no reports circulating about earthquakes in the area, so at least the 275-pounder didn’t make too much of an impact when he wiped out.
