Stanford head coach David Shaw recently shared some great news with his team.
He informed them that walk-on senior linebacker Craig Jones was getting a scholarship. Jones had paid his tuition for the three years leading up to that point.
It was a pretty good motivating tool for the team, and they seemed to respond well. Shaw made the announcement after practice, Jones broke down the huddle and the team then went nuts as he was showered with hugs.
