The 49ers and Vikings squared off on Monday Night Football, with San Francisco emerging victorious and cruising to a 20-3 victory.

The Vikings’ offense was so anemic that the game was actually a bit boring at times, especially compared to the Eagles-Falcons game which preceded it. But what happened after the game was anything but boring, unfortunately.

A group of 49ers fans beat up on one defenseless Vikings fan. It started when a Niners fan got on top of the Vikings fan and began punching him, while a coward in a Jerry Rice jersey kicked the man while he was down.

It’s disconcerting that fans can’t just enjoy the victory without incidents such as this happening. Is being a fan of a team reason to brutally beat another human being? I don’t think so.
