Giants tight end Daniel Fells won’t be playing this season, but he got to experience the feeling of playing in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.
Fells’ children were thrilled to see their dad coming home from the hospital. They screamed in delight as he came up the stairs on crutches, and Fells posted the video on Instagram.
Fells was placed on injured reserve after the Giants’ Week 4 game against the Bills and hospitalized with a MRSA infection in his foot. It was feared at one point that Fells would need his foot amputated. But according to SI.com, doctors are optimistic that Fells won’t lose his foot.
For now, Fells won’t be putting on pads until at least next year. So he can spend some quality time at home with his children.
