Quarterback Andrew Luck missed on his first five passes and threw two interceptions as the Indianapolis Colts lost a home game to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Luck’s Colts are now 3-4 to start the 2015 season.

“I’m not happy with how I played or the result of the game,” Luck said. “I’ve got to play better.”

Luck finished with 333 yards and three touchdowns, but it was too little, too late. The Saints led 20-0 at halftime and 27-0 just five minutes into the third quarter. Meanwhile, it took the Colts over 20 minutes to gain a first down, and Luck finished with just nine completions, 79 yards and two turnovers in the first half.

Through five starts, Luck has 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He’s thrown at least one pick in four of five games, and the Colts are just 1-4 when he starts under center.

His passer rating is 76.2, which ranks 30th among 32 qualified quarterbacks in 2015. He’s also on pace to throw 21 interceptions. The Colts rank 23rd in scoring offense after averaging 28.6 points per game in 2014.

“Obviously it’s not where he wants to be,” head coach Chuck Pagano said. “It’s not where we want him to be.”

Luck hasn’t been accurate (56.2 completion percentage) or careful with the football (Indianapolis ranks 28th in turnovers). Some will blame his shoulder, which kept him out of Colts’ wins over the Jaguars and Texans, but Luck insisted he’s “fine.”

His play on the field is far from fine.

“I’d say I’m frustrated up here,” Luck said. “As a unit, we’re frustrated and I’m frustrated with myself.”
