The Dallas Cowboys knew what they were getting into when they signed defensive end Greg Hardy to a one-year deal in the offseason. But the powers that be at Valley Ranch have been extra busy today, after a report from Deadspin revealed some shocking photos of the alleged assault on Hardy’s then-girlfriend, Nicole Holder, back in May 2014.
The charges were eventually dropped in February after Holder failed to show up to testify. And after Hardy finished serving his 10-game suspension, many thought that this incident might end up being a thing of the past before too long.
That’s not the case, though, as Deadspin obtained and released the official police photos, and they are quite gruesome.

It’s just another horrific example of how flawed our justice system is. Holder clearly didn’t just trip and fall down the stairs to come away with bruises like that. Hopefully, justice will be served in some way if Hardy did indeed assault her like it sure looks like he did. But for now, we hope that Holder is recovered and can find a way to move on from this awful ordeal. As for the Cowboys, they are aware of the photos but have no further comment, according to a report from ESPN.
