As long as it’s not Super Bowl media day, maybe Marshawn Lynch isn’t a bad guy after all.

The Seahawks running back went to a McDonald’s in Dallas after the Seahawks defeated Cowboys on Nov. 1, according to TMZ. Terrence Downs, a 17-year-old employee who was mopping the floor, complimented Lynch on his navy blue Buscemi shoes.

Lynch and Downs struck up a conversation and when Lynch asked Downs about his future, Downs said he likes fashion and he wants to own a boutique someday.

It would have been hilarious if Downs told Lynch “I’m here so I don’t get fired.” But it was probably a good idea to play it straight, because Lynch slipped him $500. Downs used that money to buy himself a pair of navy blue Buscemis.

Now if Downs told Lynch he wanted to be a sportswriter, perhaps the conversation wouldn’t have lasted as long.
