Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams became the second player in NFL history to score a touchdown in each of his first six career games.

Williams tied Robert Edwards for the league record when he caught a 26-yard touchdown from Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the third quarter of Buffalo’s Thursday night matchup with the New York Jets.

A fifth-round pick out of Florida State, Williams rushed for touchdowns in his first three games, caught a touchdown pass in his fourth, rushed for two more scores last week and capped off his streak with Thursday’s catch-and-run into the end zone. He now has seven touchdowns, which leads all rookies. In fact, no other first-year player has more than four.

Only one other player has ever matched Williams’ start.

Back in 1998, Edwards—a first-round pick of the New England Patriots—scored rushing touchdowns in six straight games to start his career. He snapped his streak in his seventh game, but scored again in his eighth. His rookie season ended with 12 total touchdowns.

The 15th running back selected in the 2015 draft, Williams now has five touchdowns of at least 20 yards, including rushes of 26, 41 and 38 yards and receptions of 23 and 26. Overall, he has seven scores on just 62 total touches this season.

Williams can set the new NFL record with a touchdown in Week 11, when the Bills take on the Patriots in New England.
