Sacramento Kings point guard Rajon Rondo faced off against his former team on Thursday night, but unfortunately he didn’t get to finish the game.
Rondo was hit with two quick technical fouls, which resulted in an ejection. But the second foul seemed to be a bit petty, as you don’t often see players ejected for staring.
Yes, staring. It happened when DeMarcus Cousins was whistled for a foul, which Rondo didn’t like, so he let referee Bill Kennedy know about it.
Rondo was hit with a technical for arguing with the official, so he then walked over to Kennedy and stared him down. Apparently, that was enough to warrant another technical foul.
This caused Rondo to get even more upset, and Kings players had to restrain him from going after Kennedy.
The Celtics seemed to enjoy a good laugh about it. Rondo, however, wasn’t laughing.
