The Seahawks are hot, so you know what that means.

Richard Sherman is chirping again.

The All-Pro cornerback has kept a low profile for most of the season, but after the Seahawks hammered the Ravens 35-6 Sunday at Baltimore for their fourth straight win he went off about a perceived lack of respect.

“Let’s call all those people who wrote us off – and call for their jobs,” Sherman told The News Tribune.

Is that really what you want, Rich?

Sherman’s never met a microphone he didn’t like. If media members were fired for prematurely writing teams off, there wouldn’t be as many microphones and cameras around to help Sherman get his quotes out there.

The Seahawks have allowed a combined 13 points to the Vikings and Ravens over their past two games. Russell Wilson has thrown 16 touchdown passes with no interceptions during the Seahawks’ four-game winning streak.

At 8-5, the Seahawks would be the No. 5 seed in the playoffs and are in position to visit the NFC East winner in a wild-card game.

Chances are Sherman would have something to say about the defending NFC champions having to go on the road to face a .500 team in the playoffs. If he does, he won’t be calling for reporters to be fired, he’ll be seeking them out.
