When it comes to Super Bowl ads, brands tend to get a bit more risqué for content, even PETA.
The organization has always done their best to make headlines, but they took things to the next level with the Super Bowl ad they tried to get CBS to approve.
The commercial might as well be softcore porn, and maybe that’s why CBS did not approve it. The headline alone from the press release says it all:
“SEXY SUPER BOWL SPOT FROM PETA LEAVES CBS EXECUTIVES SPEECHLESS”
Speechless, indeed. That’s probably how you’ll feel when you watch the video, which claims that vegans last longer in bed and can perform better (Warning: Video is NSFW).
If you chose to pass on watching the video, here’s a short recap from the press release.
“San Francisco — Are vegan men better in bed? That’s the claim in “Last Longer,” PETA’s sexy ad submission for Super Bowl 50. The spot highlights a “deflategate” occurring in bedrooms across the country: More than half of men between the ages of 40 and 70 have difficulty going the distance in the bedroom, and many probably nod off from having too much fat in their diets. PETA’s video, which is currently only available online, cheekily demonstrates that going vegan can help men boost their sexual performance, since the cholesterol in meat, eggs, and dairy products slows the flow of blood to all the body’s organs—not just the heart.”
There are no words to describe what I just watched.
