The Yankees’ new ticket policy isn’t going over well with the public, and the team will probably continue to face scrutiny for essentially pricing out the average joe from sitting behind home plate.

The team eliminated the options to print tickets at home a few months back, which essentially took away selling tickets below face value. That was the only way the average fan who isn’t rich could sit in the Legends seats, which are located behind the plate.

As a result of this, John Oliver, host of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” bought tickets to each of the team’s first three games and essentially gave them away for an affordable price of 25 cents per. The catch was that the fans had to appear as if they had never sat in a premium seat before, and also were required to use the #IHaveNeverSatInaPremiumLocation hashtag.

Tuesday’s game at Yankee Stadium was the start of the experiment, and the fans seated behind the plate didn’t disappoint. Yankees brass must have loved the ninja turtles in their premium seats.
