You don’t put together a 72-9 regular-season campaign with sheer luck. Whether some old-school players and analysts like their style of play or not, the Golden State Warriors are getting it done on both ends of the floor and have put together a remarkable season.

There was no championship hangover for the Warriors, who now find themselves just one win away from breaking the 95-96 Bulls’ regular season record. A win over the Grizzlies on Wednesday night would give them that accolade.

It hasn’t been easy for the Warriors, and they’ve earned it. Beating the Spurs twice in three nights is no easy task, and it’s unlikely that any other team in the NBA would’ve been able to accomplish it.

The Spurs gave props to the Warriors after Sunday’s 92-86 loss, and were classy even in defeat, as usual.

David West said “they’re the best, and we’re chasing them.”

Manu Ginobili weighed in as well, saying “what they accomplished this season is incredible,” and their style is very unique.

The Warriors now have a 91 percent chance of defeating the Grizzlies and setting the record on Wednesday night, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Oracle Arena is going to be the place to be that night, and it will be rocking.
