Johnny Manziel is in the headlines again, this time not because agent Drew Rosenhaus is dropping him, but because he and some friends allegedly trashed a rental pad in L.A. to the tune of more than $30,000 in damages while throwing ragers littered with alcohol and drugs.
According to the story, Manziel—undeterred by his NFL future and public image—rented a house with a friend in West Hollywood for two days and both nights played host to all-night ragers causing extensive damage and prompting a lawsuit.
Page Six obtained photos showing what looks to be cocaine residue on a table, as well as a bag that appears to contain mushrooms.
Emily Smith of PageSix.com summed up the damages:
It’s claimed Manziel and his group left the house strewn with booze and drugs, broke an expensive glass table and a bathroom door, and left wine stains and cigarette burns on carpets. Pictures obtained by Page Six show lines of suspicious white powder on a table, and an opened bag of what is claimed to be magic mushrooms.
Further quotes from those involved paint an even more damning picture, one with Manziel surrounded with drugs after missing the checkout time:
Goodwin tells Page Six he returned to the house to find it trashed and Manziel crashed on the sofa at 2 p.m. He said, “They were supposed to check out at noon. Manziel was passed out . . . There was cocaine all over the kitchen table, and mushrooms were still out on the table in front of him. There was booze everywhere . . . broken glasses over the floor and a Champagne glass in a tree.” He added, “If they don’t respond to our demand for compensation, we will sue.” Manziel, his lawyers, and Rosenhaus didn’t get back to us.
Rather than turn things around, it seems Manziel has fallen even farther off the edge.
Folks will recall that Manziel still doesn’t have another job in the NFL and has failed to meet the requests of his agent Rosenhaus, who hasn’t fired a client in almost 30 years. ESPN’s Ed Werder provided some context there:
Source says agreement between Drew Rosenhaus and Johnny Manziel was contingent upon him entering treatment facility and QB hasn’t done so.

While last week’s events, pictures and stories make for one heck of a story, it’s also a chilling close look at the life of a man otherwise able to keep such stories as hearsay.
This time, though, there’s pictures and more, painting quite the clear picture as to why the NFL has turned away from a guy with such high upside on the field and why the league’s most notable agent has done so off the field.
All involved want to see Manziel turn his life around. Maybe this chilling look into the chaos will provide the tipping point.
