Dwight Howard paid tribute to a musical icon who passed away on Thursday.

Prince, at 57 years of age, was found unresponsive in an elevator and pronounced dead shortly afterwards. Many sports fans, athletes and coaches alike took to social media to pay their respects to the great musician.

Howard, who probably knew all eyes would be on him as he entered the Toyota Center on Thursday night, decided to honor Prince in a different way. He sang “Purple Rain” on his way to the locker room before the game.
