Jeff Samardzija likes to strike out batters, but really does not like when he’s at the plate and suffers the same fate.
Pitchers hate striking out against opposing pitchers, and Samardzija showed that during Tuesday’s game against the Reds.
He struck out in the eighth inning, and was pretty upset about it, so he broke his bat over his knee.
Samardzija had nothing to be upset about, as he pitched a gem, going eight innings and giving up just one earned run in the 3-1 win.
