D’Angelo Russell has no idea if he and Nick Young will get along next year with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Which makes plenty of sense. Russell became an Internet meme of sorts and one of the most polarizing players in all of sports back in March when a video of him secretly recording Young chatting about off-court incidents leaked.
Tuesday, TMZ caught up with Russell and asked him if he and Young would be “cool” next year, to which Russell had a pretty straightforward answer: “I don’t know. Only time will tell, right?”
Right.

Odds are good Russell and Young won’t be on the same team next year, anyway. Young is older and hardly got any run this past season on the rebuilding Lakers. With the front office figuring to continue the youth movement while attempting to add a big-name free agent, there isn’t a lot of room for him on the roster.
Still, there must be some fans out there who still want to see the two try to work it out. For now, Russell seems to hope time truly can heal all wounds.
