Rap mogul Drake serves as the global ambassador of the Raptors, and anyone who has watched the team play at Air Canada Centre during the playoffs this year has probably seen him standing on the court near Toronto’s bench at one time or another.
While it’s unclear exactly what his job description entails, his title entitles him to courtside season tickets. The problem there is sometimes he gets a bit too close to the action. He taunted Rodney Stuckey by clapping right near his face during Game 5 of the Raptors’ playoff series with the Pacers, and even helped draw a five-second call on Justin Holiday when the Bulls guard was attempting to inbound the ball during a game back in March.
Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Monday night was no different, when Drake, as usual, was standing courtside for a good chunk of the game and was more active than head coach Dwane Casey at times.
In case you missed him taunting Kevin Love during the game, here’s the global ambassador yelling at the Cavs’ big man:

2. Kevin Love’s pose

Oh, and Kyrie Irving got some, too. Drake trolled hard and actually posted a photo of it on Instagram.

The question here is when will the league office step in and say something about it to the Raptors? Drake should be held to the same standards as any fan seated courtside during a game. He’s there to observe the game, not be a part of it.
