Back in April, the Rockford Rivets announced they would be doing a bobblehead promotion featuring the band Cheap Trick.
Tuesday, the Northwest League unveiled the four-piece set featuring each member of the newly minted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. And I’ve gotta say…they look pretty sharp.
“I am a huge Cheap Trick fan and am honored that they have allowed us to launch this series,” Rivets general manager Chad Bauer said.
This isn’t the first time Cheap Trick has popped up at their hometown baseball park. In 2012, guitarist Rick Nielsen was honored by the Riverhawks…the predecessor for the Rivets. They celebrated his unique style with checkerboard guitar-themed uniforms.
