Joakim Noah could be on his way out of Chicago.
Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Noah “has been telling teammates the last few weeks that he was done with the organization once free agency begins, and ‘has no trust in the front office getting this in the right direction.'”
There appears to be a complete mistrust multiple players have towards general manager Gar Forman, with Noah at the forefront.
In fact, Noah had become so annoyed with Forman that he turned down a chance to help Bulls Charities earlier this season. Noah didn’t like the way he was approached and pressured by Leslie Forman—Gar’s wife and the VP of Bulls Charities—so he said no.
On April 8, the Chicago Tribune‘s K.C. Johnson reported, “Though front office meetings have yet to finalize the Bulls’ Plan A for this offseason, there is strong internal desire to re-sign Noah on a short-term deal.”
So while the Bulls are reportedly intent on keeping the veteran big man, Noah, an unrestricted free agent this summer, is ready to move on.
