Conor McGregor recently called out the entire WWE roster on Twitter and Roman Reigns and others aren’t too happy about it.
McGregor, probably doing what he does best and talking smack to get attention, posted the following tweet:
I didn’t mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans. What I meant to say was that I’d slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday’s.

Not a major ordeal, honestly, because the UFC and WWE have a newfound cross-promotional relationship. Brock Lesnar fighting recently while still under contract with WWE and dangerously close to WWE’s Summer Slam shows that well enough.
Many WWE superstars, alongside retirees, though, responded:
Would you prefer to find us individually or have us all line up at once? I know your time is valuable, sir. https://t.co/XPnKhWAlza

Sorry pal no disrespect to u, but my fights are legit, unlike the fixed fights u have in @UFC. I’ll embarrass u. https://t.co/X5WCyeHYbf

I think McGregor could do well in the featherweight division……if the WWE had one. https://t.co/90XGpSICS9

Your the size of my leg. Shut up. https://t.co/fBVEdf8hE1

Never show a Jack Russell a mirror. It thinks it’s a majestic Irish Wolfhound. Really, just an annoying wee yapper trying to sell tickets.

The way Nate Diaz Stockton slapped you or nah?https://t.co/PGDrBcVum7

@TheNotoriousMMA @WWE very funny little guy. Why don’t you get your head out of Dana White’s ass
— Kurt Angle (@RealKurtAngle) August 7, 2016
I would pay good $$ to see @RealKurtAngle STRETCH THE PISS outta @TheNotoriousMMA and make him tap. #itstrue https://t.co/Uvo8H34nHy

If anyone doubts whether or not Doloh could tie Conor in a knot, do yourself a favor and Google his accomplishments pic.twitter.com/h7mitMeBXn

Believe it or not, it’s interesting to actually break down this debate a little bit.
McGregor is one of the most dangerous men walking the planet, but WWE superstars and their grueling year-round schedule probably shouldn’t go underestimated because they happen to fall under the “entertainment” label. Folks made that very mistake with Lesnar, remember?
Other than Lesnar, Shinsuke Nakamura has fought in pro MMA organizations, as has Alberto Del Rio. Baron Corbin, another former NFL player, was a Golden Gloves regional champion and trained in the Lion’s Den, as was Heath Slater. Jack Swagger was an NCAA wrestler and has wrestled Cain Velasquez in the past. Dolph Ziggler, mentioned above, once held the most wins in Kent State history. Big E and Bray Wyatt were state wrestling champions. The Undertaker has a BJJ black belt from Rolles Gracie.
It goes on and on. Again, all hypothetical with weight classes ignored, but it’s an interesting topic.
Perhaps more interesting, though, is what could come of it. It seems McGregor is angling for something, whether it’s for his post-UFC run or as soon as next year’s Wrestle Mania. Either way, this heated debate is just getting started.
