Jim Harbaugh and Jim Rome don’t like each other very much.
Rome put the Michigan football coach on blast Wednesday over Harbaugh’s recent refusal to answer questions about his suspended players. On his CBS Sports radio show, Rome said the following:
Maybe you forgot over the summer that it’s their job to cover your team, not asking you what your favorite Drake album is, just like they’re not there to write another tired story about your latest throwback jersey, or your Walmart khakis, or your latest shirtless photo from satellite camp, or another (attack) on the SEC.
Ouch.
Harbaugh, of course, didn’t take too kindly to the comments. In fact, he took to Twitter to air out the beef:
Do you remember the provocateur who went personal with another Big 10 QB and had the tables turned on him? #déjàvu https://t.co/0GAciV74tQ

Anyone with a background in sports knows what Harbaugh references there.
Rome, for what it’s worth, didn’t back down:
Roasted! Damn, you got me good. Like 42-13 good. https://t.co/qAkYtqYKiB

The numbers there detail Michigan’s epic loss to Ohio State last year, perhaps a burn that stings a bit more than bringing up something that happened years and years ago.
Who won? Hard to say, especially because it’s doubtful either man has had the last word just yet. Here’s to hoping the two get in the same room together soon, or at least hookup over the air to talk it out.
